in-motion satcom command car

With a high economic growth, Beijing is confronted with more danger of fire, chemical exposure and other natural disasters, which is a great threat to every citizen and the whole society. The fire department, as an emergency rescue team, is facing a more challenging situation. More over, as a social, economical and cultural center, Beijing have many important activities and major defend task, which demands a higher ability of security. In order to improve the command and communication ability in the site of fire rescue, and enable a fast reaction, comprehensive perception and Omni-distance command, we developed an in-motion satcom command car for Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau Fire department. The car have a function of in-site command, video conference, graphic gathering and storage, wireless communication manage, real time voice and wideband transmission, independence power distribution and centralized control. It is capable for a stable and safe network interconnection with 119 fire protection command network in the whole country(mainly for Beijing).

Since the in-motion satcom command car put into use in October 2009, it participated in a lot of action such as the 60th anniversary of the National Day celebration drill. Under the leadership of National Day fire protection combined service force, we ensured the efficient operation of celebration fire protection service command system. In the mean time, the car served in the front line in the National Day fire protection. Many of the leaders patrolled the core district of Tian Anmen to survey the police deployment in the car. The car sent the live video from the scene to the headquarter in the Zhongshan park to provide timely information. In the evening of Oct 29, the director of the fire department Chen Weiming, together with deputy director Yu Jianhua and chief engineer Du Lanping, paid a special visit to the National Day fire protection and security command center to watch a live video from the in-motion satcom command car and a demonstration of digital outfire and rescue plan. After having a view of on-site police deployment, he spoke highly of the fire protection and security job.
